I use the bucket that came on my tractor when I bought it.....I hose it out when the job is complete. You would never know i have used it for over 7 years now for concrete jobs in remote locations..Unless I am missing something here.
approx 8'x 10' with 3' deep frost footings. 300+ feet from hardtop.
Sounds like you don't need reminding on the weight of a yd. of 'crete, with that said I believe that most of these "buckets" are about 1/2 yd. Better than a wheelbarrel but still 18 or so trips per truck load. With business (const) so slow, I wonder what you could hire a pump truck for?

I vote 'railroad tie retaining wall and gravel'.
I will add to the mix, again. Using a tractor/FEL and having to do many trips, pretty soon you will have a road to the remote location that will probably need to be fixed after the fact and God help you if it's muddy.
