Nah,
I think she took the information and is out there looking at tractors for her hubby now. With the fine information gleened from this community, she has narrowed her search window to the three models provided.

Just got my B7800 manual (plus the machine) yesterday. I had to get into the manual to figure this out. The B7800 does not have a position control, but what Kubota calls a "quarter inching" control (quarter inch incremental adjustments at the lower link). There are five positions for the lever, regular down, quarter inching down, neutral, quarter inching up and regular up.
At first, yesterday, I only "found" regular down and up, because when I was in the quarter inching position, I didn't even notice it move. If you hold it there, though, you can see it moving.
