Geez those 330s look beastly strong. I wouldn't want an arm near there much less inside it...

Yep, he's foolish. The last thing I would want is to be laying on the ice with my arm trapped underwater. Yet they set easier than a 220. (I never used a setting tool, but that was years ago.

You have to be kidding, right?

Rabbits!

You are trapping rabbits???

First of all they in season?

Second, why in the **** would you hurt a harmless animal like that?

You are one cruel person. Do you torture dogs too?

WE HAVE A WINNER!
SailFag that was the most asinine comment I've read on TBN in a year.
Tie your little white sweater back around your neck, sulk back into your corner and continue picking your nose.

Or just plug the hole with chicken wire, he may get discouraged and leave.

I would try a box trap then take him out in the country and let him go. I'm not agianst trapping him don't get me wrong but i would be nervous about setting a 160 or bigger in town. Either way enjoy the trapping season.

Why? Hasenpfeffer....mmmm good. Or there is rabbit stew with dumplings....excellent. Or another favorite - fried rabbit and gravy...tasty, but a bit chewy unless properly marinated.

Does this make me cruel too?
Cruel?

Absolutely.......

NOT

You want to kill a rabbit to eat it... Good for you.

Me, I'm not a fan of rabbit... Perhaps I have never had it prepared right, but it has always been greasy and tasted like chicken.

However, the original poster is proposing to "Trap" (kill) a rabbit out of season with a trap that is as likely to KILL or torture or mame untargeted animals as the "offensive" scarey rabbit.

All because he can't imagine a better way to deal with a rabbit, other than killing it, who is messing up a garden in early March in Wisconsin.

I should send him some ground hogs or beaver to deal with.

Want to get rid of the rabbit, pore some dog or coyote urine around it's den, it will find another home on it's own. Less cost, time, and hassle than a trap or shooting it and no risk to other animals.

Genius!

Nelson...

Are you same bully as the Nelson on the Simpsons?

Needlessly hurt any defenseless animals today? Better watch out for those scary rabbits, they have big, sharp, pointy teeth.

Let me go out of my way, do more work, to needlessly hurt an animal rather than an easier solution that won't hurt it.

Or perhaps in your language... I should take off my sweater...
Hook my 36 ft goose neck flatbed to my F550...
Load up my skid steer.
And drive out to Wisconsin to dig up the OPs front side walk and eliminate the rabbit hole.

Maybe that would be overkill. But then it sounds like you are a fan of needless killing of weaker animals.

What works best for me are live animal traps. Coons that are in my sweet corn, possums fooling with my quail, all trap fairly easy with the right bait.
Once you catch them relocate or dispatch.

Sail - You know, if you had started with some helpful advice, like several others here gave (like the poster right after your last rant), I may very well have considered other options. Spouting off and name calling is no way to get anyone to listen to you, at least beyond 3rd grade.

One way or the other, I will solve the problem, and nothing you have said will have helped direct that outcome because of the crap you spewed. I realize I'm probably talking to the wall, but I figured it was worth a shot.

BTW - for comparison - You would really hate my co-worker that shot a couple dozen rabbits with a pellet gun out where he lives as they were destroying his entire landscape. In my case, I've left them alone even though they do damage our plants regularly. But again, you wouldn't know any of that before you started the childish name calling.

I got some good advice from others here, which I appreciate. I won't be responding to your posts further.

I bought the setting tool to go with the 330's I use for beaver but I much prefer to use the nylon rope method. I sold my tool on ebay right after I bought it. Connibears are crazy dangerous, instant lights out on this ol' 60lb sow.
