SailAway,
You made a stupid original post....own it. We all have made a stupid post(s), and received ridicule in return.....live with it. Don't keep re-hashing; tuck your tail between you legs, round up your 35 TOTAL posts and just sail....away.
Fellow TBN'rs (with more than 100 posts
)
Fifty bucks says he can't stay away, and will be back with another stupid post. Any takers?
Sailfast,
Ok, now that I have had my fun at your expense, I do agree that the OP was heading down the path of "fishing with dynamite", but to each his own. He had a specific question concerning the tool used to set the trap. Several of us answered that question. Some warned him of the other potentially unwanted results of using said trap. Your post was...well, I will be nice and not say what I am thinking, and will leave it at 'stupid' post.
TBN is a great forum, lots of interesting and informative people and posts. One thing that I have noticed, we tend to self police at bit - try to keep the neighborhood from changing. So when you get so many negative comments coming back at you - this is our way of saying, we don't like your STYLE of posts. Differing opinions are fine (and desired). But change your STYLE or just GO AWAY.
