Buzst,
Thanks for the info. Hazmat recommended the same rental store to go take a look.
I may have to stop by there.

Funny how this internet stuff works... I have now talked to two people in Hawaii... one about tractors and the other about Schwinn Twinn tandem bicycles.

Too bad about the state tractor. I only have a little less than 100 hours on mine, and so far, so good. Others, like Hans, have many more hours. They'll give you the straight story, good and bad.

Have a good weekend. /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

remember me from last year when you had all the problems with getting an answer from pt? well i hope you will get your machine this time. don't listen to the rumors about the 425 not being strong enough for the commercial use we let our midsize tractors sit and use this machine almost daily and are making money with it. contact me privately if you care, i will try to help you getting set up to the best of my abilities. welcome back Lance. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Hey thanks Lance - and again anything you want to know about the PT (if you have some more questions) I'll try and help - I have two of them in my garage right now - the 425 is going to my brother in law but he need to sell some of his stuff to make room for the PT .

in the mean time I has given it a good cleaning and service - I also am fitting it with a vacuum system - I found a nice unit made locally hear in CT - instead of fabricating the hopper as we were originally going to do - this way we keep the weight down and the one I found is completely portable - it folds up for storage - So anyone interested in a vac - check out
cyclone rake - very nice and reasonably priced - it is a trailer unit but semi mounted so it will not jackknife - it is on swivel wheels - I'll snap some pictures when I'm done

bubenberg, you must also be the 'Hans' that everyone refers to. Yes, I do remember you. How funny. Come to find out you are one of the most knowledgeable guys on this PT forum. I have been considering the PT on and off for a few years now.

It was frustrating and a turn off to not get some of the responses I was looking for from PT. I'm a straight forward person - simple. What's so difficult? I wanted to buy their product at the time and I got poor responses from them. As you can tell, I'm still in the market for something.

When I get a chance, I will take you up on that offer and give you a call. Thanks for offering. Appreciate it.

Bubenberg,

I sent 2 messages via private email. I was wondering if I did it correctly or not? If you didn't receive them, let me know.

Lance:
Hans got at least one of your messages, and is working on the response. If his weather is anything like mine, however, he will be on his Power Trac most of the night - for pay.
Since I'd have to plow about a mile of a foot of snow, to get to the highway, I decided to park the PT and see how it does tomorrow in two feet.

Charlie,

Hard to imagine the kind of weather you folks are experiencing when it's clear and 85 degree sunny over here with 5-10 mph cool breezes blowing. Heading to the beach today with my little boy. Take care - I'll wish you guys some better weather.

OK Charlie, We have our "2" FEET of snow! How is the plowing going? I dont have a PT, only an ATV with a 48" blade, and a 60" rear blade. I do have a 900' driveway with half of it in a wind zone on top of a hill. I am trying to figure how to move 3' of wind blown snow. I have run out of places to put the white stuff. I have filled in most of the close ravines.
I dont want to get high centered, which is very easy to do with only 5" of clearance with the plow.
HAVE A FUN DAY!!! /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif
