that loader tractor will take up more storage space. A consideration when its collecting dust. Nice collection of equipment If you can keep a record of what each tractor is and sells for.

it may take up more space.. but that bracket set is worth $ to an 8n owner wanting a ford 711 loader or a 722 loader.

the sherman is noce.. but you can get those anywhere for 200-700$ and ADD it to that 1=arm laoder machine.. and you can't find those brackets ANYWHERE.

Two very nicely done tractors. Dads looked that good when we did it a few years ago. But it gets used so is a bit dirty, and has some worn paint around the seat, foot boards, and hitch area now.

Strictly for show/dust-collector tractors, those are nice units. However, the thing I dont like about that one with the loader is someone used the wrong paint color. Kinda a pet-peeve of mine. The 52 is correct. TSC doesnt sell the right color for the 8n. You have to go to a dealer. Most dont, therefore you see a LOT of 8n's that are the wrong grey.

I'd say $3000-$3500 on the 52, and possibly $4k on the loader tractor. But if showing it is your goal, paint it the right shade of grey.

That's one of the best things about these loaders, easy on easy off. A little more time for the utility then the rowcrop NF. If pressed for storage space you can store the loader out behind your shed and hook it up when going to a show. I'll have mine on for some gravel driveway work and then a show and then take it off for a pull next month and after that put it back on to pile snow up in the winter. Now try that with one of the other old ford loaders.

If I do pick up the 51 with the loader that is exactly what I planned on doing, removing the loader and storing it in the shed for safe keeping as I have no use for it other than showing it. I'll remove it once I confer with you experts on how it's done. lol
Thanks everyone!

If it's sold at auction there's no telling what it will bring. All depends how bad 2 people want it.

If you can offer money and you really like the tractors... here's my opinion on what they are worth.

#1 $4,500
#2 $5,000

Just remember you may not get that amount back if you decide to sell.

Well,I bought an 8N but not exactly the one I was going for.
I stopped bidding at $4000 for the 1952 and the sold price ended up being $4100. I was in a bidding war with the winning bidder untill I called it quits as it looked like he had no intentions of stopping anytime soon.
The 1951 loader tractor was the next in line and I had no real intention of buying this one until the bidding got to $3200 than for good or bad I had a change of heart, jumped in the bidding, and ended up owning it for $3,400.
There was no buyers preimum or tax at this auction so my bill was an even $3400.
After I settled up I played with this thing for awhile and got familiar with the loader and took some pics.
When I get it home sometime this week I will be asking you guys for detailed directions on how to remove the loader and put it in storage for the time being.
And yes,the tin and wheels will definetly be repainted the correct gray after the loader comes off.
So,how did I do????????
Pictures attached below.

you can get a sherman tranny anywhere.. you can virtually NOT buy the 8n loader brackets for theat 1-arm laoder ANYWHERE.

I don't buy N anymore.. but if I did.. it would have to be something rare.. like one with a howard tranny, everette tranny, 1-arm brackets.. or the manual live pto pinion clutch..

the loader will have 3-4 connection points, depending on how close to oem the collector wanted it.

2 are major, a 3rd is minor but mandatory, adn the 4th is optional

1, the toe of the loader under the front bolster. it goes into a hole inthe bracket and has a cotter pin

2, the box of the loader has a hole in it and it rides on a 'nub' on the trans side tractor bracket.. has a pin thru the box about the diameter of a small cigar and a L shaped

3, at the heel of the upright support is a tab that then has a strap that connects under the tractor

4, MIGHT have a bracket that connects back to the rear axle.

also.. may have a stand, again.. if the owner could find one.

these loaders were meant to be hung or supported, then you pull into and back up into position.. towe in first, then nub, then strap..
