Actually, I didn't get it exactly right either. It should come uo as an image with a play button. Maybe because it is Vimeo instead of YouTube. So, do you like a rear pull snowblower as much as I think you do?

The Ford 1210 with turf tires is 48" both front and rear (sidewall to sidewall). My 1210 is hydrostatic drive. It does have the mid-PTO. Have been watching Craigslist for something I can adapt to it. Since I already have the front blade and sub-frame, I'm thinking I can adapt a blower to fit the sub-frame and use a 50" or slightly bigger snow blower to work. I also have a ninety degree gear box with a pulley on one side I could use but, I'd rather not have to go with belt driven.

IIRC I have about 4" difference, and it's "OK", but would prefer more.

There are two places where you tend to fall short:
1. After doing one pass in and backing up for a second - it's almost impossible to keep between the lines.
2. Curves - even slight ones, 2" is nowhere near enough. I'd like 6" on each side.

Back to Doc's original question ... I don't find much of anything on the Internet about Dettson snowblowers, or Dettson in general. I also don't see much for used snowblowers on Craigslist around him. Around here a rear mount snowblower in good condition for around $1,200 is a pretty good deal.
