Well, other than VW, the only contributors are AMERICAN companies -- which is a nice gesture. I don't have a problem with foreign companies not giving money.

VW also donated a handfull of Eurovans to help out with the cleanup.

Thanks.
As I said I have no way of verifying the information and corrections are appreciated.

gatorboy,

Small correction - Daimler-Chrylser is basically German. Mercedes and Chrysler combined. Audi, I believe is a VW company also.

Well, goes to show you who really cares about the the welfare of this country. Strengthens my resolve about not buying any automotive products by the rest of the list.

Egon,
I would question the completness (if thats a word) of the list, I believe it was Muhammad that posted a Kubota contribution of something like 1 million and my own company contributed a million in employee matching. They don't show on the list.

Well, I know that BMW donated 12 of their truck-like suv things for recovery use, and Audi of America donated $150k. Audi is part of the VW family ... as are Bentley, Lamborghini and Seat, so a donation by VAG would represent those cars as well.

Toyota may be a Japanese company, but they sure do build a lot of vehicles in U.S. plants. That applies to Honda as well. An interesting list, to be sure.

I read on JCB website they offered their heavy equipment for the cause.
