Is it possible to modify the 3ph to be able to hydraulically lower (ie under power, instead of gravity)?

With a post hole borer it can be difficult to get it started and I would like to be able to give it a push.

Is it possible/reasonable/affordable?

If not, I could add weights, but this seems less than ideal.

Cheers,

Chris.

None of these cmall tractors have power down. They are so light it really wouldn't do much. In your case it would help, but if you were moving it would just raise the wheels off the ground.

Hey, Kayssupply! Always good to know knowledgeable people like you are out there.

Hadn't thought about using power down while towing an implement, but it makes a lot of sense. Although I wouldn't want it to run me over, it isn't very heavy and I can see the wheels would be easy to lift.

Going back to my original question - Is power down possible?

Where is the ram for this? The tilt L/R ram is obvious, but not the lift???

Also, while talking about the tilt L/R ram, what is the "little ram" piggy-backing it? It has no hydraulic pipes, only electrical and it moves in and out with the the tilt L/R ram. Is this a position sensor for the "auto till" feature? Or something else?

Cheers,
Chris.

If the little one has wires going to it, it is a posistion sensor used by the computer for the tiller. They say the computer does not work on most of these used tractors.

I have only had one that the electronic controls worked. All have worked manual but just one auto. I really don't think power down is an option the way the piston is built. It is under your seat inside the top housing. I don't think there is a tapping you can put pressure to. It just releases pressure back into the sump.
