Mr. Hawk came hunting quail again this afternoon. Perched on the handrail of my deck for about a half hour. I was only 8 feet away taking his picture and he didn't seem to mind...shooting through a triple-pane window so the pics aren't as sharp as they could be.

What kind of hawk is that? There are plenty of big redtail hawks here with a few coopers hawks and many types of smaller shriks

I believe that's a Northern Harrier....but then, I'm no expert.
