Some days I agree with this 100% and other days I have so much "stuff" that I have to know everything about that I just want to be "clueless".:)

That is what Margaritas are for and they do it well!

John Thomas you have never owned a Kubota product long enough to change the Anti-Freeze. After a couple of heat cycles you trade for something newer. Sorry couldn't resist. I also have never heard of a cavitation problem with a Kubota product. If someone wants to have piece of mind, TSC sells Fleet Guard Anti-Freeze for diesels engines.

WOW!!!!! How did you know I just got back from Barlows and have taken care of some of my concerns, actually this has disturbed me so bad that I'm just getting a new one and letting someone else worry about the .........one(s):cool2:Best solution I figure. I did also mention my concerns at Barlows with the parts guy and the mechanics all standing there as they were preparing to leave for the day. They had no comments concerning the SCAs. Not sure they knew what they were but Gary said he knew people years ago used to add them to their radiator instead of changing antifreeze, back during his mechanic days (now parts man at Barlows). Guess combined 100 years of experience with Kubotas has provided them no info concerning cavitation problems with Kubotas. Pretty sure they just use green antifreeze and no addatives.
PS I've owned my F2680E for 4 years and previously owned a B7800 and BX1500 for 3 years each.:D

For many of us Cavitation was an unknown until the Porous Ford Diesel engine blocks of the 90's brought the term into prominence to cover for the blocks.:)

Cavitation is usually more of a problem in engines with wet sleeve liners (I have seen a few engines that needed rebuilt because of cavitation pitting the cylinder liners)). I don't believe Kubota uses wet sleeve liners.

I agree and most cannot get the wet sleeve issue.....Amazing at best...

i have to lean to agree with this. i asked my dealer and they said, if cavitation is a problem in diesels, they are not seeing it in the kubotas. does't mean that cavitation doesn't exist, but they have not seen any problems pass through their shop or any updated feedback from kubota that would suggest problems with cavitation. i was told to use any brand name antifreeze advertised with safe for all metals.

Same answer I rec'd from Barlows and all of their mechanics were standing there when the answer was given.

Heck my point...Kubota, Bx's have been around for 10+ years and no issues. Gee, go figure...
