Coolant leak question TC33D

bumping this thread hoping for an update as I also have this problem with my 2008 T1520. Thank-you,gentlemen,for all your knowledgeable input on this topic.

The setup I mentioned in the post above yours is working great, no problems and no more leaks.
It was a little awkward getting the barb fitting pointing in the correct direction and getting it tightened properly. At first I didn't have much faith in it but I've worked the tractor for 5-10 hours now, both the engine block and garage floor are dry.

There probably is a better setup out there but this is working fine on my TC45D

thanks for the feedback blee03. I purchased a bspt brass plug from mcmaster-carr and I'm going to wait to install it till I take my front snowblower off for the year (I live in northern mi.)

Blee03, I have a question. I see the parts you ordered but how did you account for the drain portion. From the 2 parts you've shown it looks like the antifreeze would just pour out. Did you use a petcock or something? Thanks

My tractor didn’t have a petcock attached to the block, just a standard fitting.

The hose that comes out of the new fitting I installed goes towards the radiator along the frame rail and there is a plastic drain valve spliced in from the factory.

I used this drain to remove most of the radiator fluid before I installed the new brass fittings
