Coolant Replacement - Kubota B2910

Yet another question. The coolant in my Kubota B2910 is scheduled for replacement. The manual directs the use of PT (Permanent Type) antifreeze.

Can I use an antifreeze such as Prestone or Zerex, or do I need a low silicate formula similar to the antifreeze that is required for a diesel F350?

Are any additives needed to forestall cavitation?

I use Prestone Yellow in my volvos. 5 yr antifreeze that apparently is very safe to al engines. But don't trust what i say, make sure for yourself.

If I'm reading the correct reference it is Model V1505-E-D16.

Okay this is a " liner less type " block according to sales literature and therefore you don't need to worry with 'DCA' additative in your coolant. Only engines with "wet liners" are subject to cavatition. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
