So yesterday me and my dad were working and cops pulled in our neighbors drive and came to our house. My siblings (im 14) and my step Mon have no idea the were even there. We just got told from our neighbor(nicknamed "the old man") while we were unhooking a trailer just a little bit ago. Any ideas why they showed up??

Easy enough to just call and ask.

Yep, call them and ask if there is anything you can do to 'assist them in their inquiries' (as we say here in Aus).

Simple.

Well now Wagtail. That there is a pretty civilized way of saying "hey, what the heck, are you all doing?" I need to remember that one.:)

Speaking of cops (I think) (sorry to hijack), was driving home from northern VA the other day down I-81. Found one rest area closed with a broke down bus in it. Further along in southern VA, the entire rest area was closed down temporarily, and the entire area was filled with big busses. Cops were around too. I was wondering if it was a huge prisoner transfer or something. VDOT was sitting around too with the temporary signage to close the rest areas.

That's something your dad should ask them. ;) It avoids speculation and rumors.

We don't care about rumors. For Pete's sake we are a bunch of rednecks living in a high end neighbor hood right now. We are going to leave it be for now unless anything else happens. Just curious what you guys think

Ohh Or another thought for food is that they used our big truck by the road for a speed trap or or the old man could just be drinking again

Well, if that's the case, I think you're 14 and its your dad's business. ;)

If you were being sought they have a way of letting you know.

Our family is know for lots of trouble

Farm Boy, you are 14 ... I'm a tad older than that. Let me offer you some good advice.

Sometimes, it isn't wise to share personal information online. Being "known for lots of trouble" is not something of which to be proud. If it's true, you need to be the one to change that perception of your family. Trouble does not equal strong or tough, just punk. Set your bar higher.

That's what we figured. If they were looking or had something to say they would knock.
My close knot of family like what lives in our house,no we ain't trouble, but my extended family is known for crazy things and drinking. Then there is my mom that is Another story
