I have one of these too a 1995-96 vintage, after two sets of batteries I decided to upgrade to Li. Interesting no one mentions Bosch Li tools. I started buying Bosch sets on CPO tools about 5 years ago on Black Friday and Xmas specials. Now have a dozen different Bosch LI 12V and 18V tools between house and barn. They have held up well, although as others have said, the Circular saw and Sawzall seem to run down batteries 2X faster than the 1/2" impact or drills do.I still use my over 20 year old DeWalt 12V Drill and have bought couple of used spares dirt cheap from eBay vendors.
It's terribly outdated but still works fine for light duty work, and new non-OEM batteries are cheap.
Yes I know you get what you pay for, but they are OK for me for now....
When more juice is needed I use my Milwaukee 1/2" corded drill, or Craftsman or even old Black & Decker from the 70's.
