We had another round of storms go thru last night...2nd time this week. The ground (clay) was already soft from the previous rain, so it didn't take much to blow my corn flat. I got out this morning before heading to work and surveyed the damage. Looks like I had a couple of tomato cages blow over, but I will have to rework several ( I only had one stake on each cage).
A neighbor who farms was at my house last night , and he said we got 2 inches earlier this week. I am pretty sure we probably got that much again last night.
I assume you guys in southern Ohio got some bad wind too. I will have my work cut out for me this weekend to straighten things up around here. My corn was pretty tall, not sure how well it will recoup without some manual intervention.
I will take the rain....but enough on the wind already !
