Please reread my post #17 above. Also, who says the 10 inch pulley has to stay on it?

I did read it. 250:1 is too much. You need more like 25:1 with the 10" pulley and a typical AC motor. It is all math, there doesn't have to be any trial and error. Pick a drive motor, pick a final RPM and calculate the pulleys you need. It is very simple.

I know its all math. Again................who says the 10 inch pulley has to stay on it. The trial and error I was referring to was make it work with what parts I have. Who knows what final rpm will work just right? How fast can it go? This is the trial and error part.
