I finally found the reason for TP hoarding.

Apparently when one person sneezes or coughs, at least six people nearby will crap their pants.

Not for me. Fast food greasyburgers are low priority for me. My chow likes McDees double burgers with noting but the bun and the meat so I do the drive through and let him take his own burger, always tell them no wrapper either. I pay the money and he reaches out the window and takes his burger himself and I always get a surprised look when the see the pearly whites open wide. Loves his burgers though they do give him stinky farts... I cannot eat that garbage myself.

Yeah, I don't drink, never have it in the house and don't care for the stuff but my cat loves tequila. Every time I'm at the liqour store I pick her up a bottle or two. lol

That's too funny... just told my wife this one and I think she was close to wetting her pants!

That's what I call easily amused...!
Timing and delivery is everything. She just returned from several stores today buying some less perishable items. We generally eat a lot of fresh food so we don't have a lot on hand for an extended hunker down time. I just got done listening to her stories about the craziness out there and then gave her the 'real' reason for the TP shortage.

Here’s a picture of the TP isle that I took at Kroger today. The canned food, bottled water, and meat section also looked pretty bare. I didn’t notice the cleaning product section. IMG_8440.JPG

Went to the grocery store today (Safeway) and it was PACKED. Almost as many people as the day before thanksgiving. Mostly older folks that seemed to be needing to restock the pantry and freezer.

Wife witnessed some firefighters stocking up and they were talking with a very old lady in a motorized shopping cart accompanied by a younger lady.

They were advising her that she should get home and let someone help her so she didn't need to go out right now.

Lots in the same boat...everybody is not a prepper and even those that prudently keep provisions for a 2 week term for natural disasters etc...will still be having to go to the store...from what is apparent via actual facts...this virus is not going to cause a worst case scenario as far as supply chains go for most essential items...

Not saying things could not change but IMO the store shelves will be back to normal within weeks if not days for many items...
