I am immune suppressed due to other conditions and have no desire to take any additional chances. Yes, they say masks are only for the sick but if I'm standing in the prescription line next to someone who is coughing and won't keep six feet away from me, I sure want whatever protection I can get. And yes I have to clean/disinfect the mask when I get home, plus it has replacement filters.

Does everyone in China have Covid? If not, why are they ALL wearing masks.

It may be unnecessary but with six opinions about most things out there, I'm just being conservative and careful.

I understand. My mother-in-law had a liver transplant 12-13 years ago. Her Dr. recommends she wear a mask anytime she goes out in public. Do what you think you have to do.

What is Italy doing that is so wrong? 24,747 confirmed 1809 dead.
What is Korea doing that is so right? 8,162 confirmed 72 dead
What is Germany doing? 5,813 confirmed 13 dead
How have the Russians managed? 63 confirmed 0 dead

What are we doing ? 3,774 confirmed 69 dead

By the way, the rest of the world combined has now overtaken China in total number of cases. China has finally reached 81,020 cases, but it has slowed to a trickle. China is "on the mend" and apparently going back to work with 67,843 recovered. 3217 dead.

Good question!!!

I think you need to look at the median age of the population, especially with Italy and the location of the population as it pertains to urban areas as well as the population's general acceptance that it's a life threatening issue and not just a common cold.

Things that make you say "Hmmmm?"

Gee Mossy, I haven't met anyone yet who has discovered the fountain of youth. We all get to leave here at some point. you, me, everyone. Death is a sure thing, but having said that, I think we all want to postpone it as long as possible but in some cases, that isn't a doable alternative.

Today there are no answers but just questions and more questions seeking medical facts that are not near at hand. Get tested then you and wonder if it is a false negative or a false positive until you test again then have the same info.

Today medically speaking the SWAG rule it all we know. SWAG stands for Simple Wild Aonkey Guess.

We know COVID-19 seems to be trigger by a form an evolved virus that we may not have met until very recently. There has been work on a very similar virus in chickens (Israel?) I read last night. Other humans are our biggest known risk factor today so that simplifies what to do for some and others especially in the medical community potential death is a daily reality.

Fear weakens the human resistance all of these things out there that we can not see. This virus is something we can not see unaided but any antiviral protocol that we follow is about all we can do.

If you are reading this and are posting here then you are at least alive currently.

There is nothing to argue about because no one at the top or bottom knows any absolute answers today. Going out and trying of find one more roll of toilet paper could lead to you never needing TP again is the way I see it this morning. Now I have to go sign some company tax returns before the PO closes.

I wonder if we will reach a stage where all travel is banned, unless medically necessary? That's martial law? We are already in uncharted territory restricting gathers (social distancing).

Those who write history in the future will have a lot of data to sift through, that's for sure.

I am glad I am not a doctor that may have to make some really tough decisions if the numbers keep going up.

I almost lost a ear having Wifee cut my hair....
I had my about 20yr old son cut my hair for my St. Patricks day shearing one year. He was using very sharp shears around the ears. He trimmed off my lower right earlobe such that it was hanging by a thin strap of skin.
I bled like a stuck pig. Soaked the right side of the t-shirt I was wearing.
We glued the lobe back on, it healed.
He won't trim my hair since.

Personally, I don't believe any statement that comes from China. The commies have a history of caring little for life; whereas their power and government is all that matters to them. They only present statements/actions that favor their commie goals. The commies have murdered more of their own people than any other government form.
