Well, some bad news...Looks like I will be posting for a while longer. It has been 14 days since we have been to town. Our last chance at exposure . Incubation period is 2-14 days and we are not showing any symptoms.
Our preps are covering our needs though we miss fresh fruit and veggies. It will be interesting to track our needs and, when this blows over, add any items we want/need. About the only thing we are running low on is chocolate. But it was not our list so we will need to add it. We can survive without chocolate but miss it. Little things like food treats, coffee etc can be important when cooped up for weeks.
MossRoad, thanks for suggesting Zoom...I will have my fiancé look into it. She is a lot more computer savvy than I.
One concern. There is a older beat up truck that has been spotted in the last couple of weeks driving in the area. It stands out...we know all the locals...this is not a local. Not sure if they are scouting the area or a road hunter we are not familiar with. Seeing a stranger once is one thing...seeing one a few times raises the red flag. Got a call late last night from my neighbor about it and asked if the guy had pulled into our place. We are at the end of the road and whoever it is knows that by now. Thinking about parking on the road, waiting for him to come by and asking a few questions. Our county road is such that 30 mph is about as fast as you can travel, so vehicles tend to stop and greet each other. If he does not stop will follow him and call the DNR. They love nabbing a poacher.
"Violators" have never been welcomed in the remote area we live in. We have had road hunters, but have not heard any shots so far. The local road hunters get a pass anyway. They typically need the food, and for others it is a "tradition"; so pissing them off would be stupid. Hopefully he is a citiot and gets the message. We have no interest in making this a "welcoming area".
