Well since you asked the title is about telling us how so that we may avoid it! another country had it's gun confiscated...not to tell us how to run ours.

When I was in the military, an exteremely basic rule that was not vocalised but purely enforced was secure your weapon! If it's in you hand it's secure. Put it down out of sight, it better be locked up.

Its the arrogan and irresponsible few that ruin it for everyone.

If you leave your gun for easy access for when you need it, then you leave your house for an errand and someone breaks in and steals your gun, guess what they have it next time. You don't! Point is lock it up.

Remember this "be prepared for the worst senerio thing". Many many LEOs never use their weapons once in their entire carreer. And they are looking for trouble. Look a the crap the they deal with on a daily basis!


Do you know why the CT massacre didn't happen with a M16? They are locked up! Ar15 was not lock. Get it?

An educated opinion can't accept input, it is a belief, an inanimate. A person can accept input, and we have heard this input many times over. It is not the topic of discussion here. There are other threads if you want to bash on our 2nd Amendment, or even go ahead and start your own (don't recommend it though).

I didn't see him bash the 2nd amemdment anywhere. Please show me where he did, so I can go to ontario and hit him with a stick, that's all I have, THEY took my gun!

There are plenty of criminals receiving long sentences for serious crimes. There are always cases however where you think the penalty was too lenient.
Like the US we place high value on liberty and individual rights.
The more I read this thread, the more it becomes clear to me that any measures to prevent unstable citizens having access to military weapons needs to be "made in the USA".
