Six dollar a galon gas??

How does this fit into average pay scale and individual income?? Could make a big difference. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif Gotta have some type of base for any comparisons to be made.

More involved than just our personel vehicle too! /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

Exactly. The price of energy is in every man-made product. Let's try $6.00/gallon in 2006 as was suggested. That should get us closer to third world status as some may "think" they want. Till it happens of course.

There is good reason for long term optimism though. Just need viable alternatives in place. Ethenol is probably the more feasible for now. Hydrogen requires natural gas as the source stock, so that's not the panacea it's being touted to be. Not with a petro based linkage anyhow. When we can efficiently pull it from air or water, maybe.

We would have to deal. My PC Networking labor would go up to $100 and hour. And anything I do w/ my equipment off-property would also go up accordingly. Do my vehicles get excellent mileage? No, but they are all paid for and I can buy a lot of $6/gallon gas (or diesel) for what finance charges, interest, and full coverage insurance would cost on a vehicle getting twice the economy.

This post below is someone talking about there scooter getting 60 miles per gallon like mine does.

Thanks for the link Eric. I have a 75 mile round-trip to work each
day and prefer to ride the scooter. Let's do my math...

Pick-Up Truck engine - 15 mpg
Majesty - at least 50 mpg (usually 54-58mpg)
Gas - $2.80/gallon

So that's 5 gallons of gas in the pick-up truck vs. 1.5 gallons of
gas in the Majesty per day. So at $2.80 per gallon, that's $14.00
of gas per day for the truck vs. $4.20 per day for the Majesty.

That is:
$9.80 per day in savings
$49.00 per week in savings
$196.00 per month in savings
(conservative - estimating only 50mpg on the Majesty and only $2.80
per gallon - was $2.87/gallon the other day)

Another good reason to own a Yamaha Majesty.
