I priced cabinets, was going to be around 10k, 20 yrs ago. So i built them for under $2k in material, including w shaper. Shaper bits were $100 each for rail and stile, and raised panel.
I had access to rough oak lumber, but bought precut pieces to save time. It still took a long time to build.

Keep the pictures coming. We are in the design phase of laying out our new home. We like looking at others kitchens to give us some insight to improve our current small kitchen. One thing we want more space and cabinets, but don't want it spread out. Trying to keep the steps in between items to a minimum. Still don't know about tops. Cabinets I will probably build over time. I did a lot of searching to find quality cabinets at a decent price. I finally found Kitchen Cabinet King, Discount Kitchen Cabinets Online | RTA Cabinets at Wholesale Prices that had the cabinets I wanted. They are solid wood with no particle board, thick strong shelves, drawers that open up ALL the way, no dividers between the double cabinet doors, soft closing, self closing doors and drawers, multi-adjustable hinges, 15% off sales several times a year, and better built and cheaper than ones at the big box stores.

Those are red oak veneer. Repowell was saying his were knotty alder.

Those look nice. I'm a big fan on RTA cabinets. Once assembled, they look and function great!!!!

My cabinets are the RTA cabinets from- Factory Direct Discount RTA Kitchen Cabinets
The cabinets are plywood/ veneer and same as above, deluxe features. Sherwin Williams finish.
Putting them together wasn't that hard using glue and screw gun.
The cabinets were DEAD ON BALLS square and the routed or dovetails were perfect! (had to be CNC made)
I ordered 23 cabinets and a filler piece and the total was right at $4500.00. (over $1500. free shipping!)
The order form ask about a coupon so I called and the girl gave me a 10% discount!!! Over $500.00 off!!!
There are utube videos of similar cabinet assembly.
They are from China but definitely not HF!

I doubt that the counter top is more radioactive than my 30mm DU ammo,,,

I should look around the shed and see if I can find those junked reactor end fittings .
