Gordon, boy I can envy your traffic dilemas! Although you can sneak up on those awful quick at times. Well, as of tomorrow, I don't have to worry about that drive any longer, as the contract is over with...can't make it anyway, as I have no transportation. The P/U was it, we got rid of the LHS (Chrysler) a couple years ago due to the simple fact that I never drove it, and my wife doesn't drive. Next weekend, I should have a little Toyota Camray delivered, but that is then , not tomorrow. The hoot of the whole thing is I've been offered a permanent position at American Exchange in Brooklyn N.Y. of all places, talk about jumping from a frying pan into the fire! I don't know if I'll accept that one or not. New York??? Just what would I do with my old Kubota in New York? Make a parking spot for the pickup? I can just imagine that one!

Guess one possiblillity for you would be to ride the train into town (Brooklyn) and still live in the country. Just a thought

Gordon, do you know NYC? You will have an 80 mile train ride each way every day unless you have about $5 million to buy 20 acres on Long Island or in Westchester County.

I don't know, riding a train 80 miles sounds better than driving 76 miles one way! Either way, NYC (just like this area) ain't my cup of tea!

I think I am just as bad as some of the guys getting new tractors! Two more days (make that wakeups) and I get my pickup back! $5101.43 was the final bill on it, and I am absolutely tickled to be getting my wheels back.

Ouch that hurts---Bet you'll miss that Toy your driving now---not. Be good to have the old girl back won't it?

Gordon, I'll miss that thing about 2 feet off the end of the concrete pad in front of the garage! I must admit, it kept us in grub, and doctor appointments, but I won't say anything else about it.
YES!!! It will be great to have the Pickup back! I haven't been able to do anything it seems like, as when I want to haul something, it ain't here...if I want to tow a trailer or some other darn fool thing, it ain't here. You know what I mean, ain't nothing like having your truck around to move something. We got rid of our LHS because I didn't drive it, and the wife don't drive.

GOT MY TRUCK BACK TODAY!!! Sans Bug Shield of course, they forgot to put one back on. ABS Brake light is lit all the time...not good. Oil pressure dropped to zero on the guage on the way home..checked oil..ok. Oil pressure came back up, and then dropped again about 5 miles from home, as well as the amp gauge not registering as charging, which it normally showed a low charge when the headlights were on. Cig. Lighter doesn't work with headlights on. (???) Temp running a tad higher than normal. Thought maybe a wire was loose somewhere under the dash or in the engine compartment disrupting proper readings on gauges. I turned off the main road up the canyon I live in and the lifters started tapping. I tried to baby it on up to the house, but it died a half mile out. When I turned it over, high pitch grating squeal, so I left it and walked on home. Came back an hour later, tried again, same sound, but it fired up, shut up, and I drove it on up to the house. NOT GOOD!
Can't think of what they would've done, but something isn't correct here. It ran like a top before all this happened, without any type of mechanical problem in any way.
Sure shut down any elated feelings about having wheels again!
