Coworker (more of a friend than a coworker)

About two weeks ago 30 mins from leaving for vacation got knocked backwards while working in the shop hitting his head on the concrete floor. Got air lifted out of here has had two operations on his head to remove blood clots and still has yet to “really” wake up. I had not said anything yet because just the thought of this makes me sick.
Area still roped off with yellow tape, truck still here (I move it into the shop that day) loaded with tools where he was going to do some work at home while on vacation. He is still in SICU

Just goes to show you never know when/how you might get hurt bad.

Too bad he was not a politician, the head is not a vital organ with them.

Sorry to hear about your friend and I hope he makes a rapid and full recovery.

I do not know about your shop situation but maybe its time to think about safety glasses and hard hats?

I know guys hate to wear them, but man it sure beats being dead or worse.

He was knocked back and fell flat on his head and back....Even with a hard hat I think the samething would have happened. But that is up to someone else as I just work here and do the best I can to keep me safe

Well he is just starting to wake up a little and the good news is he has responded to come commands and worked the TV remote so I think (hope) he will be ok given time
