For those of you who have shot one, what do you do with the carcass?

Dogs are a big problem in my area. I have lost 5 calves in the last month to dogs. These are neighborhood dogs, not wild dogs. I have managed to get rid of two of them, one of the 2 was the leader of the pack. I talked to the neighbor where the dogs hang out & their reply was the dogs hang out here so I feed them but they're not my dogs & I can't lock them up or get rid of them.

Leave it lay or chunk it in a ditch.

This one didn't have enough good hair in January to make a artificial mustache so we left it lay.

It depends where I plug 'em. Closer to the house or barn or in a pasture, I'll move them way out and/or bury them. But if they are on the back 40, I'll leave them.

We have problems with neighbors dogs too. I remember one time a pair of bird dogs from up the road chewed a hole through a chicken wire fence and were inside the pen killing chickens. I cornered one and killed him with a 12 ga loaded with #4's. The other one was able to escape but I got him really good as he high-tailed it down the driveway. They killed about a dozen birds before I got out there to see what all the noise was about.

And my sister had her year old blue heeler, what was going to be a working dog, killed by a pair of chows belonging to a meth-head who lived a mile away. Those dogs are now long gone.

A coyote generally knows it's boundaries. A domestic dog that has gone feral has none which makes them way more dangerous. I have not had problems with wild dogs yet, but I am never on my 100 ac without a firearm.

We are over run with coyotes here, shot seven of them last month after losing 15 calves and one cow to them last year.

15 calves...holeey crap...and I thought I had a groundhog problem.

We have tried the caller & teaser here several times. Too much cover for the yotes and they seem to get around us and wind us before they show themselves....very frustrating.
