Hey wdchyd! Yes, lots of good progress. Been busy with other projects and I haven’t been back on the site. I thought I had my email notifications on but I must not have. Got on here tonight and there were several additional posts since we last spoke. I had the swivel joint out of the excavator, going through it. 34 o-rings later, it’s finished and I have it back inside the track frame, all plumbed up.
My brother took good care of this repair for me. Cut the old flow use off and welded the new one up with the supplies you generously sent down my way. He primed it up and it’s ready to go. Got my seal kit, haven’t installed it yet. I do need to track down the radial bearing on the boom end of the cylinder rod, it’s shot. Replaced all the fittings on the barrel. Looking forward to a leak free thumb. I can’t thank you enough wdchyd for the advice and sending the tubing and rods down my way! I certainly appreciate it!

Looks good inane2, it’ll go back together in no time.
Today just finished up a repair on another Rosenboom thumb cylinder. Unfortunately it had the dreaded two-piece hyd rod.

Good to hear from you! Wow, that barrel looks very similar to mine. And I can only imagine how dreaded indeed that two piece rod is, lol!
It looks like you strengthened that tube up, should really minimize any twisting.
