In the late 60's I bought Mom a Craftsman "Sears Best" Lifetime Garden Hose as a Mother's day present.
About every 7 to 8 years, I've exchanged it for a new one... no questions asked.
I always come in with my original receipt from 1967 along with the warranty from the cardboard that the original hose was attached too as well the 4 exchange receipts I've collected over the years. The paperwork is older than the Sears Clerks.
I did notice that my Sears Store removed the "Satisfaction Guaranteed" logo from all there entrances several years ago.
I'm not really good at keeping records so I have a very simple method. When I bought my Sears Best garbage disposal I thumb tacked the warranty and receipt to the inside cabinet wall under the sink.
I thumb tacked the hose warranty and receipts under the laundry sink... up high so it's not in the way...
I would think Sears would have to either go Bankrupt or change it's name to no longer honor their lifetime hand tool warranty...
