My very first vehicle was a used 74? CJ 5 "Renegade" with a 304, again?? V8. A lot of fun for a 16 y/o with a new d/l

My Dad's CJ 7 didn't even come with carpet or rubber floor covering. He put some stinky old carpet in there to keep out the noise and keep in the heat. I will never forget the time he was driving on the 401 during a storm. He came out from the protection of a wood lot and the wind blew the jeep onto its side against a snowbank, spilling his personal possessions onto the highway. No harm done!

That thing had a straight six with some incredible torque.

Yep, I've built several Jeeps as well. If Jeeps were truly capable in stock form there would be less need to build.

I'd wager that 95+% of Jeep owners find their stock vehicle does everything they need.

There are few of us that prefer to take our Jeeps further offroad than most do....and those we build to do so.
