seen that some time ago, determination. I remember way back when, that we pulled a few logs out that way. We pulled a huge log once with an old 8n. It wheelied real good then the chain snapped. Problem was we were trying to get the log down a steep hill and the tractor had no brakes, atleast until it hit the tree at the bottom

That was too unsafe for anyone to attempt but there are many who take chances to get the job done.

The problem with using front ballast and hooking the chain lower is that then he would not have the weight transfer to his back wheels and he would just sit there and spin his wheels.

Of course he could have just pulled a few less logs at a time and got the job done safer though it would have taken longer.

Had a Fordson SuperDexta that would wheelie on occasion trying to get traction buy putting the chain almost at rear axle height.

Wow, I would hate to see a chain pop while that thing is jerking like that, could put a link in the back of that guys skull given the angle and where he the chains attached..
