Eddie,

I think I found the answer to your issue of how to move the tables when you mow in a pic someone posted in another thread.

Thanks Cyril. So far, I'm very pleased with the table that I bought. I like that it slides around on the grass real easy. I've moved it just to get a better view, and to sit with a friend and not have the sun in our eyes. I bumped it with my riding mower to mow where it was sitting and found that to be very simple and easy.

One thing that I just noticed in the table you posted the picture of, that I didn't consider is the boards that hold up the seats are in the way of sitting down if you want to go in sideways, and not step over the seat. It's a small thing, but still nice to not have to deal with anything in the way when sitting down.

Time will tell if it holds up, but so far, I'm very pleased with it.

Eddie,

I don't know if you are looking for more tables or not, but here is a kit to make a bench/table. It converts from a bench to a table. I just bought the same kit from a McCoy's Lumber (don't know if you have them in your area). Haven't used it yet so I don't know how well it is going to hold up. In fact, I'm thinking about welding up a similar frame using 2X2 angle iron, I know that would last.

I was actually looking at the forks on the front of the tractor. Never even looked at the table.

Hi Eddie

I had an interesting thing happen to me today.....My wife and I were walking down the dike, headed for the picnic table....On the other side of the pond, a couple of hundred feet away, the marsh grass just erupted with a large splash....We thought it was a huge gator that had caught a deer or something, and the gator was doing the death roll.....It went on for maybe five seconds---which is a long time-----and then the monster started coming through the water, leaving a wake about a foot high, and right at us...After about a hundred feet, the wake submerged, but the water coming towards us still was moving pretty fast...This all took place in maybe ten twelve seconds---again a long time....I backed up a bit, and with apprehension just waited for what was to come....All of a sudden the wind picked up to about forty mph, and pelted us both with stinging sand, and lots of it.....The sky was just clear and wind almost non existent, and then all of the above just vanished....Turns out it was a mini tornado--dust devil twister, but it sure scared us ....everything happened so quickly, that we were just left in bewilderment.....Wanted to share with you and the gang Tony

WOW. I was reading it and wondering what it could be, but never imagined that it was a mini tornado. I've seen them, but never thought too much about them. Now I'm wondering what it would be like to come acroos one like you and your wife did!!!

It's just amazing what happens when out for a walk!!!

Eddie,
What's his name? If he is on your place, he has to be an acquaintance of Oscar's. Are you gonna keep him?

That's no guy. . . it's a GIRL! She's out grocery shoppin' for the rest of the family.;)

If you could pick the trees they take down, it would be okay, but they will choose the biggest and best and leave you with a mess. I would sure try to get rid of them before they become established. Just like fish magically appearing in a pond, anywhere there are trees and creeks, a pond will soon also have beavers it seems. I need to do beaver control at my place too. the population and damage is growing here too.:(

Silent lucidity...or..serenity....trying to figure out the right words for the beautiful pics. G'morning Eddie. Oscar looks like he's put a few pounds on. You might not be able to lift him and stand on the scale anymore. At least, I wouldn't recommend it.:)

The beaver is no more. I think I've killed half a dozen of them since Lake Marabou filled up. I'm more afraid of what they will do to the dam then the trees. Those grow back, or others take the place of what they cut down. But if they decided to dig into the dam, I'll never know it until the dam fails.

Here are a couple of pics I took this morning while out for my walk with Oscar.

Eddie

Gosh Eddie,
You sure are getting good at capturing the serenity of sunrise on Lake Marabou.

Here is the pond/lake I had built at my house 2.5 acres of surface and 23' deep at the dam. Work took a pan and a D9 CAT 6 weeks and Hurricane Dennis filled it up in one night. We now have bass over 9 lbs and cats over 10lbs. some of our panfish will exceed 1 lbs. The best money I ever spent.

Beautiful!!!!

Congratulations on your success with our fish. Those are some very impressive numbers. How long has it taken for them to get to that big? My best bass is 5 pounds and that was two years ago.

Built in 1999 cost was $12,000.00 plus $2,000.00 in driveway pipe. The fish where feed first two years. My driveway goes over pond dam and it takes me about 3 hours a week to keep it mowed and round-up spraying. My drive is 850-1000 ft and my house overlooks the Pond. I would not choose to live anywhere else.
