0=the amount of sympathy I feel for the victims families who are bitching about $500,000 from the Fed's as not being enough. My sympathetic feeling went out the door. Hell what did the victims of the bombing in Oklahoma get? Government is blowing our tax money at an alarming rate.

Re 19, I note that the tractor driver was threatened by a UFO that was reddish-orange in color. HMMMM. Does anyone know if Mark Chalkley's former Frankenstein Kubota is now in Spain?

0= the amount i DISAGREE with DrDan. i especially like the one where a guy making $225,000 a year , his family is going to get that 500k also. what a waste of tax dollars, lets not forget all the other gifts they are going to get. i feel bad for their deaths, but don't u think we a going a bit to far?

Exactly Frank! Whenever government gets involved in anything it turns into a total wasteland. I think if there is a true need then help, but someone making $225,000 a year should have made provisions for themselves. Hell give the money to someone who needs it.

I don't think the primary purpose of this government program was to assist those who were affected by 9-11. Remember this program was;

1. Part of the airlines bailout bill
2. Recipients agree not to sue the airlines

While I am not sure how someone could logically (I know, logic and lawsuit are not necessarily related) sue the airlines (after all, they followed all the laws then in effect, i.e., the hijackers did not take anything on board that was illegal), the key part of this hand out is the recipients agree not to sue the airlines. So, the need of the recipient is not an important consideration. Getting them to agree not to sue is.
