God that even makes me madder...

What a judicial system we must have to even consider allowing a lawsuit of such a nature to be heard! Is there an answer to this mockery of the judicial branch of our government? I don't believe government payments are the answer at all!

MIKE: I agree the hijackers did not take anything on board that was not leagal, but i question the hijackers ability to enter and take over the aircraft so easily. seems to me without that ability they would have not been able to do anything with only boxcutters! the whole tragic event depended on the hijackers getting control of the planes, for that i beleive the airlines were lax.

My guess is that everyone (passengers and crew) on the airplanes that hit the WTC assumed the hijackers were the 'usual' types, i.e., they'd fly to some out of the way place, e.g., Cuba, make a political point and surrender the airplane. Based upon hijacking history, perhaps the airline procedures for hijackers was not to resist them? So, they might not have been lax, rather they were following procedures. It was only when it was too late did the passengers realize what was going to happen. If the UBL tape is to be believed, most of the hijackers didn't realize what was going to happen.

The difference with the airplane that went down in Somerset County, PA is they knew what was going to happen as a result of the calls made on cell phones. They didn't find out in time to prevent the hijacking but did find out in time to take action.
