It just looks so bad because it is dead and has not been brushed out and cared for for quite some time.

Well I have seen a few dogs in my 46 years and that is a very strange looking dog. Yes a dead dog but very, very strange. Kinda looks like some has done a 'Photo shop" job

The photos are supposed to be real and came from the AP service. Not to say they could have been tampered with prior. But that face and the ears are weird, regardless of being dead and rigormortis setting in. I've seen quite a few dead dogs from cars over the years. None compared to that ugly critter. It sure as all heck is no coyote. We have tons of them around here. They do not look like that in the head, jaw or ear area. I've also seen many coyotes that have been shot. They look no different from a live one.
