Cross Referencing O-Rings

Dont know what you mean by "a bit flat sided"

Only o-rings I know of are square profile, quad rings, and standard o-rings. The "a bit flat sided" may just be the signs of a used o-ring.

I realize it sounds like an oxymoron but when new they appear to be not perfectly round on edge

And they are white and they feel softer than a typical rubber o-ring

These are the seals between the spool and the casing

They seem to turn soft and gummy with time and fail easily

I've replace all of them on the valve body and trying to find longer lasting and better made more affordable alternative

I posted picture on my other post about backhoe moving on its own

I'm looking for some O-rings for my Kubota trator. I got stuck when I got to the durometer number. I found some listed with a durometer of 90 and others with a durometer of 90A. Looking on-line I can't find where the difference is explained.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks.

No difference between a 90 and a 90a.

Durometer is measured with the shore scale. The shore scale has different levels, a A, B, C, D, etc Kinda like rockwell hardness has C, B, etc.

Orings are measured with the "A" scale. Sometimes they just omit the A from the literature

Thanks. That was what I was thinking. Thanks for verifying.
