What is the most common crossover relief value people are using to install on a snowplow for tractor use? I am looking to covert a truck snowplow for use on a tractor and wondering what crossover relief valve to use for the angling of the blade. Thanks for any info.

I have the one from Surplus Center mentioned;works very well and is a must for a snow-plow.

Thanks for the info guys, I will order one of those when I get everything else built. From looking at the diagram ports B&D would go to plow cylinders and A&B would be where the rear remote hoses would hook up. Correct? This will be a set-up for use next winter so I have plenty of time. Thanks for the help again.

It is a crossover relief valve in case of a sudden surge in hydraulic pressure. It’s a safety device in case you hit something hard with your plow blade. It bypasses fluid from the high pressure side to the low side.

KennyD,

I looked at the one on your site and it says Maximum Flow: 8 GPM Max. Is that the only crossover relief valve you sell? The one listed above is Maximum Flow: 30 GPM if I remember right. Also, another big issue for me is do you ship to Alaska and if so what method do you use? Thanks

450, since your only operating a plow with 2x8 or 2x10 cylinders, max flow is really of no great concern, especially since it’s intermittent use.
Yes, we ship to Alaska all the time, we use USPS medium flat rate boxes and charge $13. We can fit plenty other stuff in that box too.

What tractor/loader do you have?
