Some people like cruise, some don't. I wouldn't have anything without it, but my wife mows more than I and never uses it.

I am assuming you have checked your paperwork to make sure there were no errors.

Well thats a bit complicated. The sales guy who also does the deliveries and training had a family emergency (also why I haven't heard back), so all we got was the tractor delivered, late, and quickly. He said he will be back early next week and do the training and all. Since this was all bought by my wife, I haven't actually seen anything other than the tractor and the keys.

I have to kind of wonder about your dealer.

They have a heck of a liability exposure doing business this way.

Of course the fact that you haven't signed anything saying you have accepted the tractor as delivered might help you out.

I don't have my lawn yet but when I do I plan on mowing about 400 feet in length at a time, I figured cruise might help. I am one of those people who uses cruise control in my car inside the city.

No buyers remorse yet. My wife was just really upset that they ruined everything she had planned, and on top of that, the guy either misinformed us about the cruise feature, or forgot or something. He isn't new, and supposedly he is the Kubota expert at the dealer, so I am guessing he just forgot, but we'll see once he replies to my email.

Does anyone know if the cruise can be added or was that a factory option? thats my main worry now.

If it's the dealer's screwup he should install it at his cost and pickup and delivery should also be on his dime.
Maybe the next time he will be paying more attention when it comes to you and your wife's wishes.
Good luck

Hopefully they will take care of their mistake and fix you up.....I had cruise on my BX2230 for 5 years and never used it....I skipped it on the BX1860, I just find no use for it.

I can see two outcomes, he is either going to admin the mistake, and fix it, or he is going to say my wife didn't order it, which is true, because we both assumed it came with it because we asked him if it came with cruise and he said it does, and actually pointed to it and said this is what you use to put it on cruise control.

I hope he gets back to work soon because I really want to play with my new toy!

Carlos,
some things to consider with cruise control.

If you are mowing 400 feet and then changing speed or direction cruise would be of little benefit. (Similar to zero tirn mower use)

If you are going to mow in circles like using a conventional gear driven tractor where speed is constant for most of the lawn mowing then cruise would be a benefit.

Like I said I don't have a lawn yet so I really don't know how I'll do it, but I figured I would probably go the 400 or so feet of length, when I get to the end I'll cut across the 200ft to the other end, then do the 400 the other direction. I guess thats what you mean by circle?
I usually did that at my old house with a much much smaller lawn. But I'll see what works best, even at my old small lawn sometimes I changed it up just because I felt like it or because I remembered I heard it was good to cut the lawn on different directions.

I have had my BX24 for nearly 3 years now and never used the cruise control yet. I did try it and found that by the time I got the speed right and looked for the cruise it was time to turn and needed to slow a little as so not to tear anything up (lawn). But hey if he includes it for free then I say go for it

Find that the only time I use the cruise is when I have to go real slow when bagging otherwise, slow down for the turns and then hit it.

Well he has come back with $160 for part and labor. I was amused but he actually thought cruise was on the tractor, and tried to show me where it was.
I am getting ready to tell him that I won't pay that much. That takes a good chunk out of my box scrapper budget.
