That price sounds pretty good to me. I was quoted $14,400 for a new CT120 with loader and MMM about 3 weeks ago but the dealer had a demo unit with under 50 hrs equipped the same way for $12,000. I didn't really push them on the price of the new one but ended up buying the demo unit. Really like it so far but haven't got to use it much yet.

There are guys being quoted CK25's with loader, box blade, and bush hog for under $13K. I don't know why anyone would pay more for less tractor/equipment.

It's mostly dependent on location, not every dealer pays the same for a tractor as the next. Some have higher transportation cost due to distance from the factory, some have higher state taxes and title fees to pay, some offer more options in their selling price (ex: 50-hr service, grill guard, loaded tires, larger BH bucket, etc...), and their are plenty of other variables.

It's impossible to compare prices on similar equipment across an entire nation, granted it should be within 10% or so but I wouldn't turn down a deal because a dealer 1,500 miles away as it for $1000 less.

The OP is in NC. The guy who got that price on the CK25 also lives in NC. Sure seems to be a reasonable correlation there to me.

He'd be saving several $thousands. Besides, even a 1000 miles isn't all that far to buy from these days. I know I wouldn't hesitate to do so if I could get more tractor for less money. In fact, I did buy long distance and saved a bundle.

The real point is that he can get the same or bigger tractor for less money if he goes straight to Kioti. He is apparently price shopping anyway!

Wow, I finally got my quote from a dealer up here in Sault, Canada. $16,750.00 for just the tractor! $3979 for 6TL loader, $8189.00 for 6TB backhoe, $2852.00 for 54"mm mower and $3789.00 for 3 pt 54" blower.
Guess I'll keep shopping.
Would have been nice to work with a local dealer, but I've got quotes from Massey dealers (2 to 6 hour drives away) for GC 2610 TLB's and 1529's for almost $8000.00 less. I can buy a lot of gas to travel with 8 grand.

Paystar,

I don't keep up with the exchange rate but have you checked into purchasing your tractor in Michigan or would it be a pain. I live about 60 miles from you. There is a Kubota/Massey Ferguson dealer in Pickford and a Kubota/New Holland dealer a bit farther in Alanson.

Rimshot, that's what I am leaning towards, I priced a Massey GC In Pickford. Have you dealt with Skinners? They seem really good when I was there talking to them. So far they're about the best deal, just that I wanted to give Bobcat a look because we have a local dealer that is pretty big, well stocked and moves a lot of machines.

Skinner's are OK, I have purchased equipment from them in the past. If you are looking for a New Holland or Kubota I would advise you to not pull the trigger on anything until you give Ginop Sales of Alanson (Just North of Petoskey) a phone call and see what kind of a deal they can offer. They should be giving out some pretty good deals because they have a field chucked full of blue and orange tractors and I'm willing to bet they would like to free up some parking space. They have three locations in Northern Michigan:

New-Used-Lawn Tractors-Front Mowers-Riding Mowers-New Holland-Kubota-Ginop Sales-Michigan

A Bobcat is built by and is the same thing as a Kioti. That dealer is farther away but he brought one up here for me a year ago and I really like it:

Michigan Iron & Equipment: Kioti Dealer

Good luck in the hunt and keep us posted how you are doing. Hope this helps
you.
