ct445 loud noise under dash area

have a noise that just started and getting worse. sounds like your swinging an 1/4 inch bolt around hitting a tin can. as rpm increases so does the noise. having trouble locating the source due to engine noise.

Is the tach electronic or via cable. its the only thing thats rotating. any ideas?
