If you have slow speed problem on the mower, try to find adjust speed linkage first.
The problem should be solved easily.

I have Cadet 1046LT recall only once belt coming off do to lack of keeping debris build up.

To my knowledge, the belt tensioner on the LT1045 mower deck is not adjustable.

anyone know the size of the deck belt on LT 1045 CUB

That depends which belt is spec'd for your machine. Look under the hood on the decal for the part number. If it is a 954-0461 it is a 1/2x78. Otherwise post back for fire up the Googler with your part number. Not all are even sized belts.
