I think this is my fourth mowing season with my "purchased new" RZT50, 22hp kaw.
No problems except for grease fittings pulling out.
Cuts nice and smooth on my 3/4 acre.
Mower has been well maintained.
So far so good.

How many hours do you have it on now?

I recently picked up a used RZT50VT with the B&S 26hp mtr w/70hrs. I'm interested in what long term repairs I may be looking at.

234 hours now. Still mowing good, no problems except grease fittings popping out.
No biggie but, aggravating.

My Rzt has 400+ hrs on it I'm very satisfied with it still.

I bought a RZT54 last year. So far, I have been pretty impressed with it. I have over 50 hrs on it right now. The deck has started to rattle though. I need to put some washers on the deck bolts. I recently changed the oil in it. Not too bad, but I don't care much for the filter location. Already went through a set of blades. The ones that came on the mower were much thinner than the new ones I purchased. The seat is a little hard for me, but pretty comfortable.

Put a couple of washers on my rattling bolt...problem fixed. As a side note, I went to Tractor Supply the other day and was very impressed with the quality of the Bad Boy zero turn mowers. They have welded decks (not stamped) and used heim joints on the deck. Not sure if they offer Kawasaki motors (me likey Kawasaki motors), but the drivetrain and deck looked beefy.

I have the same problem with right tranny, it just quit. Until now I have had little problem, even though i have 500+ hours on it. Should I replace the trans or just buy another one?:

Well.. from what I've read, there's lots of intact RZT mowers sitting around with only one functional drive. It's a shame. I'd probably be willing to put $500 into it or so.

My RZT54 has dual ZT-2800 units...not the EZT units that came in the smaller RZTs. Not sure if these are supposed to be better units or not, but I haven't had any probs yet. I decided to go the the 54 over the smaller ones because I like the Kawasaki engine choice, anti-scalp deck rollers, and trans oil reservoir.
