Hey all,

I have a Cub/Yanmar SC2450 and am having some trouble finding info regarding the backhoe operation. Here's what I have going on.... The boom operation is substantially quicker/harsher in operation when compared to the rest of the movements (crowd, swing, bucket, etc.). I can "feather" the control to smooth it out but it makes it pretty awkward and more time consuming to operate. The main boom will also slowly drop over time when not being used whether it's while using the tractor or just sitting. All of the other operations seem normal or at least comparable to each other. The unit only has 30 hours on it so not sure what to think. I have taken a look at the manual and have been unable to really come up with anything......other than the leakdown may be caused by internal leak across the piston seal or in the control valve? Maybe this also is the root cause of the harsh action of the boom cylinder?

Any thoughts?

here is the tech manual if that helps

Appreciate any help.
