Anyone know what size stock the stem on this is supposed to take? It's a bad picture, but looks like maybe 1" square. Here's the agri supply link.

I dismissed the one you linked because of the cost. I need 7 of them. What I'm thinking about doing is getting some pieces of heavy square tube, having the ends bent to about 20 deg and mounting the sweeps to them. I'm still running the possibilities around my little brain. I'd like solid bar stock, but steel is crazy expensive these days. Maybe 1/4" wall square tube would suffice.

I don't see why one would need 7 at one time.
Hard to cultivate a 4' wide stretch with 2 shanks unless you have a 24" sweep in mind.
MKK.. what problems do 10" sweeps pose? My idea was to use 4 in the front gang with 5" of space between them tip to tip and 3 in the rear covering that space with 2.5" overlap on both sides.
