Cup Holder

Ford 850 I bought the one from dicks for my TC35, couldn't see paying dealer for the fancy one. Works great, I set it on the platform just in front of the seat and its always there. Bought my Hunting club buddy one for his Kubota. Helps to keep it cool also. $4.99?

Nice!

That's a nice chain box!... How long of a chain can you fit in it??

Do you have another chain box on the other side??

Forget the cup holder, love that chain holder.;)

Yea that's a nice chain box!

I have seen people make them from PVC pipe... and i have also seen some put chains through a place in their loader arms.

I usually have a water bottle with me, I just put it inside the Toolbox which is just to left of my Seat. Out of the sun and easy to reach

Yes I have one on both sides. I have 20ft of 1/2" in each but Im sure it will hold 30 ft or so. Im thinking I made them out of 3x6 tube with ex mtl welded on the bottom.

That's a good place to mount them and they will hold a lot of chain.

Most of the time i will put my chains in my BH bucket.

Great job & thanks for the info.

Peej, I didn't buy one when I was at Dick's, but I hope to grab one next time. They looked like a decent quality holder. The platform is a safe place and is shaded much of the time too.

I have borrowed my neighbors John Deere tractor several times over the past few months, as his has a FEL on it and my John Deere 2555 doesn't. I can move almost as much dirt in my boxblade, but when dirt is dumped, it is hard to get up on top of the pile to get started, so I use his FEL to bring the pile down to size.
I found a problem with his tractor that I believe is unexcuseable. The cup holder located on the right fender that most people want to stick drink cans into is made wrong. If it were a can holder, then fine, it isn't supposed to hold cups, but it is clearly called a cup holder and it WILL NOT HOLD A STANDARD SIZE COFFEE CUP!!! I drink coffee on a frequent basis and had a cup with me when I walked over to pick up the tractor. Finally set the cup down on the deck till I got back to the house with it.
According to prevous posters, the cup holder isn't much better at holding water bottles, so I am wondering just what they designed it for???
It will hold a standard size baseball very welll, if anyone finds one laying around before they run over it with the mower.

JD dealer threw in a cup holder when I bought the tractor. finally put it on a couple weeks ago. Thing will hold anything from a can to a mug without it falling out.

Well yea, ok I haven't got this built yet, but I planned it all out in my head this afternoon while out mowing in the hot sun. But I have a JD-3520-Cab with AC and you pretty well need an AC Cab for this.

I generally carry a bottle of Coke in my cup holder but each time I change direction, I have to keep switching it from side to side or put a heavy leather glove over it to keep the sun from heating it.

Even tho it's not yet built, I've examined things and feel it will work. Just a simple couple of feet of clothes dryer hose, (or some such material), easily connected with a couple of garbage ties at one end of the hose to the closest AC cieling vent. The other end, (bottom of hose) fits loosely over the Coke bottle,...can or other drink container. (Loose for easy access).

Now I figure that should keep your drink pretty darn cold on a hot day. Simple enough to lift it up or sweep it aside with an elbow to get a cold drink and slip it back on to keep it cold.

I don't think you need anything too tight fitting,...heck my first idea was just a piece of coat hanger bent to hang from the vent and hold the Coke bottle on its side like a cradle. Driving along holding the bottle up there (by hand), got it cooled down over time,...but my arm got sore and tired. So my poor inventive mind kicked in and I guess that's how many things get invented.

So I'll get working on it and no doubt refine it as I go,...but if anyone else gets ahead of me, please post some pics for the rest of us. UNless of course you think it's totally loony-tunes,...either way, what do "you" think?

I spose if it works well, somebody will manufacture them in China, paint 'em red, green, orange, blue etc and sell 'em for plenty at the dealers?

CHEERS !
