Guys,

I'm looking for curl & lift cylinder reconmmendations for the LB1914 w/ the KL1210 loader.

I'm thinking about going with 2" cylinders for both. Dalton welded cross tube 2x16" have the right travel for curl and I think I could make them fit.

Max curl would go from ~1050 pounds at the bucket edge to~2400 pounds at the bucket edge (curl cylinder at the tangent to the bucket rotation). But that's not real meaning for for working. At ground level (bucket flat on ground) it would go from ~570 to ~1300 pounds. Which would allow me to actually break the bucket out with the curl instead of the lift (currently ~1185 at bucket edge ground level). Which in my opinion is a more natural and efficient way to dig.

Another option is to use cylinders from the KL1231 loader. These are listed at 1.75"x14.00 compared to the 1.50"14.00 of my current cylinders. Curl would not increase as much but assuming it still has a 1" rod it would go from ~570 at ground level to ~1000 at ground level and with width at the ends may be a better match for my loader but that is an assumption on my part. This might be a nice compromise because I wouldn't lose as much curl speed.

For the lift cylinders I was also thinging of the Dalton 2" but still have to detemine if they have a length that woudl work for me. Break out at the pin would go from ~1750 to ~2400 (I'm running around 2050 psi instead of the factory 1900 psi on the loader, that's why the number are a little higher than published). Capacity at full lift would go from ~930 to ~1260. Break out at the bucket edge would go from ~1180 to ~1600.

Any other options come to mind for cylinders? Any thoughts on the cylinders I listed.

And yes, I already know that this puts more stress on the front axle and middle of the tractor. So we don't need to go there. I may turn the loader pressure down a little to a comfortable everyday use setting after getting bigger cylinders . And it will definitely get turned way down if anyone but me is operating the loader! (it's a convenient screw on the loader valve, takes 2 seconds) I mostly want more umph for breaking out the bucket in the dirt. I don't plan on carry stuff around that is supper heavy. thanks!

I know this is an old thread... not sure why no one replied. But did you ever get your cylinders upgraded? Would be interested to know your results as I have the same tractor and loader. And could certainly use a bit more power at the bucket.
