The battery/charger/free tool is back on at HF.

Yeah, to bad they don't have any starter sets of the battery and charger locally or I would have that new grease gun.

Back in stock soon........................................ It has been 2 weeks already. Store has received at least 2 deliveries since but no starter sets.

Which means very few of the other 10 + Hercules tools are being bought either.

I just can't see spending $99 for a battery operated grease gun. I have my old reliable pistol grip with a long flex hose, the battery is within me and never runs down! Biggest problem it gives me is running out of grease at the next to last zerk!
I do like the extra long hose on that Bauer gun however, I wonder if those are sold separately?

Can you name a cordless tool made in the U.S.? DeWalt is assembled here, but parts are “sourced worldwide.” Another brand?

Sadly, can't help you. Some of the original Metabo, not Metabo HPT, tools are still made in Europe. Some are made in Taiwan, where they make better stuff than China and aren't our enemy, but even Metabo is going to Chinese manufacturing.

I had that issue too, but fortunately I went to another store and they had the starter sets in stock.

Well I gave up on the HF Hercules cordless grease gun and ordered an in stock amazon deal on prime day.

with a coupon and prime day it was 70 bucks . smaller 4000mah battery but they supply 2 instead of one and accepts Makita batteries .

Not many reviews on it but we will see

I don't need to grease often enough to justify a battery grease gun either. I will say that a lock & lube chuck was money well spent. Not sure how long the hose on the HF one is, I was able to find one that's ~18" (don't remember where I got it), and that's long enough for anything I need to do.

If they don't have the starter kit in stock and you take a 5A battery and charger ($74+$49 I think) it will ring up at $99 and you get the grease gun free and a HF bucket.
I bought the set today the manager said they never expected the run on the starter kits and sold out 1st day they had 4 grease guns in stock only HF in 75 miles (4 stores) with the grease guns in stock. They all had batteries and chargers. I paid $99+tax The grease gun is kind of heavy but the hose is really long.
