Curtis Aux. Valve Problem

Have just completed pipng my Curtis Aux valve #9pkfelbv for left and right angle cylinder function. Valve has good pressure within from Kubota hydrallics. When positioning lever foward or back it sends pressure to both angle cylinders. Is there an adjustment for this on the valve? I will call Curtis factory Monday if I can't figure it out this weekend.

Just want to start from scratch to see where you are: You added a single spool control valve by runing power beyond from the loader control valve to the in port of the new valve then continued power beyond from the out port back to the hyd block aft port. Now you should have two open ports left for directing hyd flow to the cylinders. One port goes to one cylinder and one port goes to the other cylinder. The cylinders are single acting so they shoud only have one hose going to each of them. Does this sound like what you have? For power angle to work you need to send pressure to one cylinder out of one port in the valve (let's say the top port) and return the fluid from the other cylinder through (let's say the botom port).

Hi Kubmech, Yes I have done exactly what you implied. I have good pressure within the Aux. Valve. I installed a couple of swivel fittings at the angle cylinders so as to bleed the lines.
I am wondering if I have a internal problem with the new aux. valve. I plumbed the green power beyond line to the in port of the aux. valve and returned from the out port to where power beyond line was on loader valve as you suggested when we talked last month. My instructions also agreed with yours. Appreciate any insight you might have.

O.K. are you sure you are saying what you're saying /w3tcompact/icons/tongue.gif

If this is how you ran it then that's the problem: You have a orange hose coming from the hyd. block to the loader valve (which is the way it came) then you have the gray return hose going back to tank from the loader valve. Don't mess
with those two hoses, it does'nt sound like you did, just want to elaborate on the fact you don't have to mess with them.
Now the green hose coming out of the valve (before you worked on it that hose went back to the hyd block behind the orange hose). Now you took the green hose from the loader valve and tied that in to the in port of the new valve, on the out port you need to "continue the original loop" back to the hyd block, not the loader valve.

Appreciate your comeback and patience. Am I right in saying that I have this in reverse. I think I am. I have the green hose at this time from the hyd. block connected to the in port of aux. valve. Then I went from out port of aux. valve back to green port of loader valve. I need to go from green port of loader valve to in port of aux. valve. From out port of aux. valve back to green port of hyd. block.
As I sit here reading your original instructions that I printed out last month I can see that I mis read them. How stupid of me. I guess I need to learn how to read again and a kick in the [censored] to go with it. I will re-route my hoses tomorrow and try it out. Hopefully they will reach. If not I will get another hose made Monday and let you know how I made out either Sunday or Monday. Sure do appreciate your time in this matter.

Problem solved Kubmech. How great things work when there put together right. Thanks again fo your time in setting me straight. I was confusing hydrallic block with loader valve block. Your last reply cleared the air.

Yes I did use it. We had 10" of snow last week and everything worked fine. The angle cylinders held the blade steady no matter what position I had it in. Can't find anything wrong for now. It all boiled down to having the In and Out port of the aux. valve in the loop backwards. DUH. Can't figure why it would have bothered anything else can you? Thanks for checking in.
