I enjoyed the build Lanse. The bumpers turned out nice. I am currently trying to add fast forward capabilities to my shop

You did a fantastic job, I wish I had your skills. Last year I put the frontier front and rear bumpers on. The thing I enjoy most of the hd after market bumpers are, people get out of your way and people don't tailgate you.

Jealous. That's what I am. The cheap factory chrome bumper on my Ford is just that-cheap. Rust has left the chrome unsupported in many areas. The corners of the front bumper actually turn down as they were under designed at the factory. Only other need I have is a receiver for a trailer hitch on the front. Makes it easier to put hay wagons in the barn!

Here is a very good example, see how the welds are terminated with a curl at the ends?

Thats how they welded the booms of payloaders in the 80's and 90s here where i work... Its important in highly dynamically stressed parts, especially high strength steel.
For some tow rings that arent stressed that often, i wouldnt bother. This will never crack or tear off.
