It's a great unit. When I first got ours we just had the regular blades on it and that thing could really cut the grass but I didn't like having to rake everything afterwords so I put the mulching kit on it. I love the mulching kit. The really only down side to it is if you mow the grass when it's wet the deck will plug up with grass. If you mow the grass dry its a pleasure to use.
Another item you should consider with your ZG is the front mounted jack that Kubota offers. When you want to clean out the deck or do maintenance the jack just flips down and you crank it up.
One other item I added and glad I did was a rear bumper with a trailer hitch on it for pulling around little trailer. Found that to be very useful.
I've had zero problems with ours so I'd recommend it no problem at all.
