So in order to fit her in my garage, I either have to change the opening size of the garage, which would involve chopping out the existing header, changing the doors, probably getting a steel i beam because there is not enough?yada yada yada?nyways...I'm thinking of chopping the canopy on the tractor, and either plating it, or hingeing it?or maybe going with something light weight and removable? like the protection of the steel, but I want the tractor in the garage?Any ideas?

It looks like the canopy is a minor problem compared to the backhoe. Do it fold down low enough to get in there?:2cents:

yeah…I have the height once i get in the garage…it'll just take some tricky driving and i'll have to remove a few collar ties in the ceiling of the garage to make the boom go into the attic of the garage…but i can't make the canopy lower without cutting it...

Do you need it in the garage due to weather or security? It would seem to me that cutting the canopy would severely compromise the safety integrity of the canopy. If you could somehow restore the original safety of the canopy through chopping and welding that the cost of having that done might be better spent on some type of shelter to house the tractor as is.
